What is the story of Spiritomb? ›

Spiritomb is formed by a collection of 108 spirits, some of which are ill-natured. This collection of spirits is known for its misdeeds; thus, as punishment, the spirits were trapped to its Odd Keystone by a traveler using a mysterious spell. Some Spiritomb are up to 500 years old.

Luckily, you don't need to catch multiple Spiritomb to complete its Pokedex entry.

Where to find Spiritomb. Go to the Ballimere Lake area, near the Dyna Tree, in which a grave exists in the overworld.

It was formed by uniting 108 spirits. It has been bound to the Odd Keystone to keep it from doing any mischief.

Special Abilities

It is said that Spiritomb are composed of 108 spirits, but could as well be the reason for its Pokédex number to be "108" referring to the 108 spirits. As shown in the anime, Spiritomb's composite spirits have the capacity of possessing living beings.

Long, long ago, Spiritomb caused trouble for the villagers until an Aura Guardian and his Pikachu sealed Spiritomb inside a Hallowed Tower made of stone.

The implication is clear: Vessa was one of the 108 malevolent spirits that compose a Spiritomb. That's already frightening in itself, since it suggests that all of Spiritomb's mortal spirits are still self-aware.

Only the NPC characters, of which there are 35, count towards Spiritomb and you must talk to 32 unique people, which means you can't just spam the same NPC over and over again.

Can Spiritomb breed Scarlet and Violet? ›
